About Me

I had just moved to a small farming community in Northern Nevada in 2015. Our house was on a 9 acre lot and I really wanted to make use of the space. As I was browsing the small pawn shop in town (it had tons of old relics), I came across a recurve bow in excellent condition. It wasn’t difficult to pull and release (30 lbs), so I figured I would give it a shot for $30. I invested in hay bails for a target from a local farmer and some arrows, and I started my new hobby.

I did everything wrong and lost a few arrows. I watched many YouTube videos and read blog posts. There wasn’t a lot of consolidated and good information on technique. It is my desire to share with you what took me months to learn, and condense it down to easy steps to learn archery. If you have a question about archery, you’ve come to the right place!
