I had just moved to a small farming community in Northern Nevada in 2015. Our house was on a 9 acre lot and I really wanted to make use of the space. As I was browsing the small pawn shop in town (it had tons of old relics), I came across a recurve bow in excellent condition. It wasn’t difficult to pull and release (30 lbs), so I figured I would give it a shot for $30. I invested in hay bails for a target from a local farmer and some arrows, and I started my new hobby.
I did everything wrong and lost a few arrows. I watched many YouTube videos and read blog posts. There wasn’t a lot of consolidated and good information on technique.
